Kimber Price Increases Starting January 2, 2023
This morning we received a message from Kimber regarding price increases for this coming year:
Dear Kimber Master Dealer:
2022 has been both a rewarding and very challenging year. The lingering effects of COVID 19 continue to cause supply chain issues while inflation has driven costs significantly higher. These factors have caused all companies to evaluate their costs in the marketplace where they compete. Kimber has also experienced unavoidable material, energy, and labor increases throughout the year. These increases in operating costs are consistent across the economic landscape currently in place all over America. To fight through the inflation, we have scrutinized our supply chain, negotiated better pricing by locking in volume-based contracts and we have challenged ourselves by improving efficiencies in every department. We are tirelessly challenging the status quo to reduce costs while maximizing value for our customers. Due to these factors, Kimber is announcing a price increase on most firearms and accessories. These increases are effective on all new orders starting January 2, 2023, and on all existing orders not shipped prior to January 2, 2023. While increases will vary across the product line, the average increase is 5.0%.
As we move forward, we are committed to driving growth throughout this coming year with unexpected and exciting new product launches as well as a mountain of line extensions. We are truly grateful for your partnership throughout this past year, and the team at Kimber is dedicated to your success. As we work through these market challenges together, we continue to remain focused on our customers by building the spectacular products you have come to expect.
Thank you for your tireless effort and support. |
Even if we have an order in place at a lower price they will bill us for their new/higher price if it ships from the factory on or after January 2nd. It seems that some models will increase more than others however we don't have their updated price list to see how much each model is going up. None of this is unexpected given the inflation and federal regulatory bodies that act as an unelected 4th branch of government. When regulations increase it stifles production/output and costs go up. You can bet this won't be isolated to Kimber and I won't be shocked to see similar increases from other major brands as well. If you have been looking for a new Kimber and it's a gun we have in stock it's probably a good time to make your purchase.
