We just received an announcement from Sig Sauer regarding their revised BDX 2.0 line. Below is Sig's press release:
SIG SAUER Introduces BDX 2.0: Simple, Easy to Use, and Ready to Go Right Out-of-the-BoxNEWINGTON, N.H., (January 17, 2020) – SIG SAUER Electro-Optics is pleased to announce the award-winning Ballistic Data Xchange (BDX™) Rangefinder and Riflescope System is now available in an upgraded 2.0 version. BDX 2.0 takes all of the advanced Applied Ballistics Ultralight and Bluetooth™ technology and adds simplified, and easy to use, functionality to get hunters and shooters on target with unprecedented speed and accuracy. New features of BDX 2.0 include, nine pre-loaded, user-selectable Ballistic Drop Compensation (BDC) reticles in all SIERRA Riflescopes, eight ballistic groups pre-loaded in KILO BDX rangefinders and the QuickBOND™ feature that quickly bonds BDX rangefinders and scopes together as a ballistic system. The BDX 2.0 System is simple, fast, and intuitive – Just Connect The Dot.™“The BDX 2.0 system builds upon the success of BDX, adding simplified features and benefits, including the user selectable BDC reticles that allow hunters and shooters to engage targets out to 500 yards with their BDX system without using the smartphone app. All BDX 2.0 rangefinders and riflescopes are now pre-programmed with ballistic groups that cover most centerfire rifle cartridges, crossbows and muzzleloaders,” began Andy York, President, SIG SAUER, Electro-Optics. “This new BDX 2.0 adds a simplified layer that allows BDX users to get up and running quickly and then when they are ready to take the next step and unlock all of the advanced features and build more exacting ballistic profiles to dial in the next level of accuracy, the BDX smartphone app is just a download away.”There are nine pre-established ballistic groups on SIERRABDX riflescopes featuring the Smart BDC™ reticle. Simply select the best group for your application from the included BDX 2.0 Card based on cartridge, muzzle velocity, and projectile weight. To select a group follow the included instructions to set the scope using the riflescopes illumination dial and power selector ring. The blue BDX light will blink the same number of times as your chosen group number to confirm your BDC reticle setting. The reticle will display 5 active hold points, from zero out to 500 yards. To create a custom ballistic profile for your SIERRABDX Riflescope, just unlock the advanced features using the available BDX App.KILOBDX Rangefinders use the exact same ballistic groupings outlined on the BDX 2.0 Card. Simply select the best group for your application based on cartridge, muzzle velocity and projectile weight and follow the included instructions to set the rangefinder using the range and mode buttons on the rangefinder. If your KILO is bonded to a SIERRABDX, the KILO will use the measured range and your ballistic group to communicate the correct ballistic holdover to the bonded sight. To create a custom ballistic profile for your KILOBDX Rangefinder, just unlock the advanced features using the available BDX App.“We’ve even made it easy for current BDX users to obtain the 2.0 upgrade with a software update through the app, and the BDX 2.0 Card is easily available online at sigsauer.com,” continued York. “Whether you are new to BDX or you’ve been hunting and shooting with the system already, BDX 2.0 packs more features and innovation into our rangefinders and riflescopes and combines it all with a good measure of simplicity.”All SIERRABDX Riflescopes, KILOBDX Rangefinders, and BDX Kits are currently shipping with the BDX 2.0 upgrade.Model and Pricing Information for SIERRA BDX Riflescopes:SIERRA3BDX 2.5-8x32mm MSRP: $519.99SIERRA3BDX 3.5-10x42mm MSRP: $649.99SIERRA3BDX 4.5-14x44mm MSRP: $779.99SIERRA3BDX 4.5-14x50mm MSRP: $909.99SIERRA3BDX 6.5-20x52mm MSRP: $1,039.99SIERRA6BDX 2-12x40mm MSRP: $1,169.99SIERRA6BDX 3-18x44mmMSRP: $1,299.99SIERRA6BDX 5-30x56mm MSRP: $1,689.99Model and Pricing Information for KILO BDX Rangefinders:KILO1000BDX 5x20mm MSRP: $259.99KILO1400BDX 6x20mm MSRP: $329.99KILO1600BDX 6x22mm MSRP: $389.99KILO1800BDX 6x22mm MSRP: $519.99KILO2200BDX 7x25mm MSRP: $649.99KILO2400BDX 7x25mm MSRP: $1,039.99KILO3000BDX Rangefinding Binoculars 10x42mm MSRP: $1,559.99
Sig Sauer just started shipping their new 2020 catalogs and we received a few today!
We sliced one up and ran it through our scanner so that we could share it with you!
There are a few new models we didn't see previously and are in the new catalog!
First is the XCarry Tacops (320XCA-9-13AXR3-TACOPS-TB). This model features XRay3 night sights and the rear sight is adjustable. It has an X-Series grip with magazine well and threaded barrel.
We are getting closer to Christmas and we want to provide our customers with our recommended shipping time frames for receiving delivery by Christmas.
We first want to say that the week before Christmas will be very busy for merchants and carriers. We do not recommend trusting the delivery time frame estimates provided by USPS, FedEx or UPS. We saw all three carriers missing delivery commitments the week following Black Friday weekend.
If you want guaranteed delivery before Christmas, we recommend using the following carriers / dates:
Military Times posted this week about a new Sig P365 XL variant called the XLRX. We assumed Sig would release an XL with Romeo1 preinstalled and it looks like it is coming in the near future.
The P365 XL has the optics cut but for anyone that doesn't yet own the XL (but wants an optic) the pre-configured package will likely be cheaper.
We reached out to our Sig Sauer representative today to see if there was any news directly from Sig and we are told that nothing has been disseminated to the reps yet.
Given the expected price of the RomeoZero at roughly $200.00, we should see the packaged pistol / RomeoZero less than the combined selling price of that and the XL (the XL itself is $579.99). If they simply add the two together, the price would be $779.99.
We will post updates to this post / page as new information becomes available.
Dan Wesson is releasing a new double stack pistol in 9mm and .40 S&W called the DWX. It is a cross between a Dan Wesson and CZ pistol. There will be full size and compact variants offered. Some parts (grips and magazine wells) are compatible with the DWX line and the full size will use mags based on the P09 / P-10 F. The compact will use a mag based on the CZ 75 Compact.

Today Springfield Armory released a new pistol that they have been teasing for about a month called the Hellcat.
The Hellcat is essentially a direct competitor to Sig's P365. It is a micro-compact 9mm pistol with a flush fit 11rd magazine and extended length 13rd magazine.
There are two variations (one with and one without the optics cut).

We received news today that we're going to be seeing new P320 X-Compact Grip Modules. The only caveat is that at this time, we can only obtain them for sale via the Armed Professional Program. If you aren't familiar with the Armed Professional Program, this is Sig's law enforcement / first responder program. Continue reading
We just shared some exciting news we received on the release of Sig's P365 XL but that isn't the only new pistol coming out!
Sig Sauer also shared news that the next variant in the Legion is the Sig P320 X5. At a quick glance, I'd say it fits perfectly in the Legion series and looks incredible!
What you can't see in the photo is that this new XFIVE Legion weighs much more than current P320 X5 pistols by a whopping 7.9 ounces (it weighs 43.5 ounces). They accomplished this increase in weight by infusing Tungsten into the grip module. Sig is calling it a TXG Tungsten infused heavy XGrip module. Continue reading
