We got a call from Wendy at Ebay today telling us that Ebay doesn't allow the SB15 or SBX pistol braces... they are terminating all listings on the site for any sort of pistol brace. This is no surprise as Ebay is a pretty hypocritical company. I made sure to voice my concerns to Wendy that this prosthetic device is intended to aid someone who is physically unable to operate a firearm (or flashlight, or fishing pole or anything else with a 1" shaft) with two hands. I asked Wendy if they would remove listings advertising these as only flash light holders or fishing rod holders and she said they would since they know what they are for. Items like slings are acceptable (despite meeting almost the same criteria as a brace).
Nevermind that Ebay is happy to allow battle axes, swords, throwing knives, or other items far more dangerous than a prosthetic device made of rubber and a Velcro strap.
You can see Ebay's policy here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html
It is good to know that Ebay is happy to profit off of swords (even some that were probably used to kill soldiers back in the Civil War. And profit they do! They'll take nearly 10% of every one sold on the site.
I asked Wendy if Ebay supported our veterans. She said she is sure Ebay does but didn't want to go into that too much. I ended on a suggestion that Ebay's CEO publish a statement about how Ebay loves profiting off of swords and axes but won't allow prosthetic devices...
Amazon has a similar policy... We'll be soon offering for sale on Amazon the multi-purpose SB15 door jam / door stop.
