Magpul just announced the launch of the new AMAG 17 SG9 magazine for the SIG P320 / M17 handgun. Unlike all of their previous magazine offerings that were polymer, this magazine has a stainless steel body with polymer floorplate. In many handguns there's just not enough room to put a thicker polymer wall at the top of the magazine where the follower stops so metal is the only way to go.

It also stands to reason that Magpul will come out with lower and higher capacity variants in the future, but for now we just have the 17 round magazine for the Carry and Fullsize grip modules. The AMAG 17 SG9 will of course lock in and function on your Compact or SubCompact grip, but it will stick out a bit.
