PWS Modern Musket (Direct Impingement) Line

Primary Weapons Systems recently announced that they were releasing a new line of direct impingement (they are abbreviating it and calling it the DI line) uppers and complete rifles being called the Modern Musket line.

DI Uppers

The DI uppers are being sold without the bolt carrier group and charging handle but the rifles are complete out of the box. There are currently three uppers offered on the PWS site: two 14.5" version that are both pinned but offer different muzzle devices and one 16" version. They are all .223 Wylde (shoots .223 REM and 5.56mm NATO). DI Rifles

In addition to the line of DI uppers PWS is also offering a line of complete DI rifles under the MK1 line. Currently we are aware of three Modern Musket rifles and we have received demo versions of two of the three. It does not appear that PWS has added the rifles to their site (as of this writing). The three DI rifles are:

• D110PA1B: 10" pistol with Triad556, MOE grip, and we believe this will come with a pistol brace
• D114RA1B: 14" (pinned  FSC556 for overall barrel length of 16") rifle, Magpul MOE grip / MOE stock
• D116RA1B: 16" rifle with FSC556, Magpul MOE grip / MOE stock

With the first shipment (and perhaps the subsequent few) the rifles / complete pistol will include a Lucid optic. There is no guarantee that this optic will be included after the initial delivery.
