SIG just announced the release of the new CROSS STX bolt action rifle and it includes a few new features that we haven't seen on the prior CROSS rifles. The base platform of this new rifle is the same as the others, but the biggest change is the addition of a top full rail section. Prior models don't have a full rail on the handguard which may limit mounting some thermal and night vision optics.

Other welcome differences include an external paddle magazine release, a SLH/SLX suppressor ready muzzle device, and a 20" heavy barrel. Prior CROSS models came in 16", 18", and 24" barrel variants so this new model fills the gap for those wanting just a bit more muzzle velocity but not wanting to haul around a 24" barreled rifle.
You can choose between a .308 Win variant with a 1:10 twist or 6.5 Creedmoor with 1:8 twist rate. Overall it's a nice upgrade over the standard CROSS rifle and likely to be the go-to variant unless you really want the weight savings and compactness of the 16" model.
