Sig Sauer just announced (through SigForum.com) the release of enhanced pistols based on their P226 and P229 families called the Sig Legion Series. These upgraded pistols include many features widely requested by professionals and avid shooters.
Here is our intro video:
We also published a video showing the P229 Legion with the P229 Scorpion and M11-A1 (added 10-9-15):
The soon to be released models are as follows (click the part number to see them in our store):
P229, .40 S&W, PISTOL, MID SIZE, 3.9 IN BBL, LEGION, GRAY, DA/SA, X-RAY, BLACK G10 GRIP, (3) 12RD STEEL MAG
Here is Sig's intro video:
Sig worked with GrayGuns Inc. to develop this pistol as well. Bruce Gray has been one of the most visible individuals in P320 enhancements with a number of packages offered to improve accuracy and the trigger.

The Legion series will have the following features / enhancements:

Front cocking serrations (Elite style slide)
Solid steel guide rod
GrayGuns Inc. Intermediate Adjustable Trigger
Checkered trigger guard underside

The Legion pistols will probably not be as widely available as many other Sig Sauer firearms. After you purchase one you will want to complete the registration with Sig to qualify for additional benefits of being a Legion owner.
First you will receive a custom pistol case including a challenge coin matching your pistol model:
Note the custom cutouts for the pistol, magazines, challenge coin and a custom knife (sold separately).
You'll also have exclusive access to purchase Legion apparel from Sig as well as other Legion merchandise (knives, lights, etc). Legion members will also be the first to know about the newest additions to the Legion line.
Bruce Gray published the following photo on Facebook showing his new P226 triggers. I am thinking that perhaps these are the same triggers going into the Legion Series. I'll post updates as I obtain additional info.
The first set of photos below are the P226 Legion 9mm that we recently received:
The following set of photos is the P229 Legion 9mm:
Below is a screen grab from our Legion YouTube video showing a P226 Legion next to a P226 Enhanced Elite. This will help show the color of the gray PVD vs the black Nitron finishes.

Update 1-28-2016 - Sig P220 Legion Models Coming!
We just wrapped up SHOT Show 2016 in Las Vegas and Sig is rolling out new P220 Legion models in the upcoming months. Sig is going to be releasing a regular P220 Legion, P220 Legion Carry, and P220 Legion SAO all chambered in .45 ACP. Based on the Sig part number scheme we expect the part numbers to be:
220R-45-LEGION
220R3-45-LEGION
220R-45-LEGION-SAO
Below are a few photos of Sig's Legion line at SHOT 2016. I anticipate the pricing to fall in line with the P226 Legion firearms.

Outstanding review. I apologize for missing your name if you mentioned it. This looks like a very exciting new line. Can't wait to get a feel of the grip texture and undercut. Hope a P320 Compact is out soon as well as a M400. Have recently seen the new Grey Glocks and wondering what has made grey the new color. It looks really sharp, kind of an industrial/tough looking finish. Further commentary on how Sig came up with name and ideas for new finish would be interesting. I understand why there is so much FDE out there from military influence and like/own firearms in that color. Nice to see new finishes and so far liking it. Thanks for the video and all it the quality photos!
Hi
I like the 228 and i bought it but the dealer here in kuwait so selfish and fool he sold me the gun for 3300 usd beside two mags 400 usa dollars its a rape you should watch them
Ty you may say why its the oficial dealer of sigsauer in kuwait so no much choise
Beautiful gun!
But when is SIG going to get with the times and start building all railed models with MIL-STD-1913 "true" Picatinny rails??? What the crap?
SIG puts them on stainless 1911s so they have the tooling to do it on Classic P-series in stainless!
SIG puts them on alloy MK25 and Combat models so they have the tooling to put them on other Classic P-series!
Come on SIG! Standardize your pistol accessory rails with the rest of the world.
It is FAR past time to join the rest of the world in standardized rails and drop those less compatible "SIG curved" rails!!

[…] It has a custom trigger and action components developed by Gray Guns. It is the first to have SIG's new "X-Ray" night sights. It has a little bit of an "undercut" on the trigger guard where it joins the fron strap which seems to give a little better grip. The P226 Enhanced Elite and the P227 have the same undercut on the trigger guard Visually, you would have to see pics of a standard P226 Nitron and the Legion side-bg-side to see the undercut of the trigger guard. But it does make for a more comfortable grip and a little higher grip. It also has grip panels with a little different contour. Solid steel guide rod instead of hollow rod. More aggressive checkering here-and-there. The Gray Guns action components and the new sights (which will eventually be on all SIGs with night sights) are the most significant differences as far as design and performance. Just bought the legion p226 9mm. Absolutely love it!! My brother thinking about getting the scorpion. I told him to watch this video. It helped him pick up info. He didn't know. Great video!
I'm trying to decide between the P226 in 9mm or .40SW. I have a 9mm on hold for me, because they just got them in...and only ordered 2. But I want to get some more info before I make the decision.
Any recommendations or reviews on the way the two different calibers shoot in the Legion?
I already have guns in .380, 9mm, .38 Special & .45ACP.
Hello John. I would like to thank you for all the work that you did to compare and contrast the Mk, Legion, and Scorpion series. You offered a wealth of information which indeed could have saved me hundreds of dollars. Can you give me an out the door price on a nine millimeter in the Legion series? Thank you for your informative videos. I look forward to seeing more in the future.Keep up the good work! Thanks again. MM

Any word on a Legion 229 Exchange Kit? I am interested in a 357 Sig as my primary but will only get it when the Legion 9mm Exchange Kit is available. Great informational videos, pictures, and write-ups! Thanks so much for all the information!
Great video on the comparison with the Legion and scorion you answer my questions I am looking for a 229 legion and having a hard time finding one. Thanks great job.
Also interested in a legion series caliber exchange kit. I want to get the legion p226 in 357 but would want to be able to switch it out to 9mm as well.
Any update on the legion caliber exchange kits ?
Enjoyed the video re the new Sig Legion. Can't wait to actually get one in my hand, or even better, on the range. Is it safe to make some assumptions that 1) they will handle most all loads & brass, and, 2) they are accurate as shipped and do not need more gunsmithing to take care of any problems? Look terrific! need to start saving up some coin for another pistol!
We are all with you my brothers. I am thankful nobody was killed( excluding the break in crew , they are young to be so reckless. Their day is coming.) Please let me know when I can place place a online FFL order. Of course no hurry, you come first. God bless you and your loved ones.
We actually installed multiple 2 ton cement blocks at the front just days after the incident... There are other measures that were taken in addition to this but they are not visible and we're not going to advertise them.
