It's fairly obvious that Springfield has their eye on market dominance of the P365 series when they released the original Hellcat series and that holds true with the new HellCat Pro that was dropped today to directly compete against the larger P365XL. It has a larger grip with increased magazine capacity while maintaining an overall small/thin package.
The Hellcat Pro offers 15 rounds by default with flush fit magazines while the P365XL only holds 12 rounds. A 15 round magazine is available for the P365 however it's not flush fit and isn't as aesthetically pleasing while installed with open metal on the back of the magazine as to the Hellcat Pro. Not only that, but the Hellcat Pro holds 3 more rounds standard while maintaining the same 4.8" height of the P365XL with the 12 round magazine. The similarities don't stop there. The Hellcat Pro has the same 6.6" overall length as the XL, but it's actually .1" more narrow coming in at just 1" wide.
If you've handled a normal Hellcat almost everything will feel familiar making it an easy transition. It has the same controls and the same sights that we really like. If you don't might a small increase in height and length this is just a more capable Hellcat and if you're someone that carries a second magazine with your standard Hellcat or P365 this could be a compelling upgrade where you could consider getting about 50% more capacity and lose the extra magazine. Obviously there's an upside of having an extra magazine, but sometimes you want to keep things as simple as possible and certainly has a place in that world.
