This Pre-64 Winchester model 70 sports a unique set of engraving across it's barrel and rather light toned wood for the period. The initials "H.B.D." are engraved on the bottom of the trigger guard. We don't know much about the origin of the engraving but it appears to be rather well done with consistent depth and good symmetry. The serial number of this firearm is 268645 which we believe puts it's manufacture year in 1953. The front and rear sight dovetails are still present but have been filled because of what was likely a large scope install at some point in the firearm's history.
