Retail Store General Manager

Osage County Guns operates a retail store in Wright City, MO. Manager will oversee all day to day affairs involving the retail store and manage promotional and marketing activities to promote the retail store. Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience but will start at a minimum of $40,000 /year. Since the store is open Tuesday - Saturday the manager will need to be available and present on those days.

Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage, hire and schedule retail staff.
• Oversee and review all firearm transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with firearm regulations.
• Coordinate with reps to plan and execute retail promotions
• Oversee and execute marketing strategies to promote retail store including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
• Manage retail inventory and oversee placement of inventory in store.
• Ensure the store is clean and presentable at all times.

Manager Requirements:

• 5+ years of retail management experience
• Good organization and planning skills
• Strong communication and employee management
• Social media marketing experience
• Basic knowledge of firearms

Retail Associate

Retail associates assist customers in firearm and accessory purchases, maintain a clean and presentable showroom and conduct sales involving ATF forms. Since the store is open Tuesday - Saturday the associate will need to be available and present on those days.

Retail Associate Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers and assist in meeting customer needs.
• Conduct sales including running NICS background checks and completing ATF transfer forms (Form 4473).
• Help merchandise and keep a tidy and presentable retail store.

Associate Requirements:

• Firearm experience is highly recommended.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Ability to engage with and communicate with customers.
• Must be comfortable using computers, Microsoft Excel, browse websites...
• Must have reliable transportation and be timely.

Retail associates start at $14.00/hr and there is a commission structure that starts when the associate is fully self sufficient (generally under 90 days). Additionally there are rewards programs from various manufacturers where most associates receive one to three free firearms per year.
