As with every part we offer, these grip safeties have been Fully Machines™ from a solid 4140 carbon steel billet, giving our customers the most reliable and durable 1911 parts on the market. Each carbon steel grip safety has been blued to extend the service life. Every Nighthawk Custom beavertail grip safety has been designed to allow the shooter a higher grip on the pistol, keeping the hand closer to the bore axis to reduce muzzle flip. A hammer spur pocket allows the spur of a fully cocked hammer to sit subflush with the top of the safety. A memory pad at the bottom of the grip safety helps ensure repeatable drawing from a holster and consistent grip on the pistol. A .250” radius allows for proper fit on most 1911 models.
