Details
The Kimber Custom sets the performance standard for production 1911 pistols. Models are offered with a choice of fixed, adjustable or night sights, and in matte or polished finishes. Both carbon steel and stainless steel versions are available. Common features include the Kimber Firing Pin Safety,™ designated by “II” in the model name, along with rounded and blended edges for comfortable carry. Barrels, barrel bushings, chambers and triggers are all machined to exacting match grade dimensions. Ejection ports are lowered and flared, and sights are mounted in dovetails machined into the slide.

This gun is something new for me and I love it! I've own several 1911s in .45 and several polymer 9mms but this is my first 9mm 1911. The difference in the feel is really noticeable. The guns shoots soft and is really controllable. Accuracy is way beyond my self defense 9mms but then it's a Target model and should shoot tight groups....it does. My gun has the tightest slide to frame fit that I have ever seen is a none custom, "off the shelf" 1911. The gun seems to have had a lot of hand fitting. The trigger is sweet right out of the box and I expect it to be even better after a few hundred rounds. Kimber's shoot ....that's all there is to it. (Posted on 4/22/2017)Quality Price Value
