Featuring an innovative one-piece barrel, machined from a single piece of 41v50 ordnance grade steel using a proprietary process, to provide superior accuracy, reliability, and suppressor concentricity. This "monolith barrel" combines the bore, barrel extension, gas block, and Dead Air KeyMo muzzle brake into a single, seamless part that, when paired with a new heavy duty bolt design, represent a significant leap forward in a 70 year old design.
Global Ordnance's dedication to simplicity and performance is reflected in the upper receiver, which incorporates an interlocking design with the barrel, ensuring the barrel nut remains securely in place. The added stability is achieved through an interlocking feature between the upper receiver and handguard, providing a guarantee against any loosening of the barrel nut. An integrated thermal interference fit between the upper and the one-piece barrel renders the barrel nut redundant. During assembly, the upper is heated, and the one-piece barrel is pressed into place, eliminating the need for bedding or accurizing. The thermal fit between the barrel and upper enhances rigidity, resulting in increased accuracy and repeatability.
The Dead Air KeyMo Muzzle Brake design is your gateway to silence. When you’re ready for peace and quiet use the KeyMo brake to quickly attach your Sandman Series or KeyMo equipped suppressor to your rifle. If you’re not quite ready to turn up the silence, you can still employ the finest brake on the market and experience a flatter shooting rifle with minimal concussion compared to traditional muzzle brakes.
The sealed taper design is forward of the Keymo locking channels, allowing the suppressor to be easily removed without carbon-locking onto the mount.
