Not the old twisted wire spring.

I hated the twisted wire when removing it from the guide rod. Glad that this parts kit arrived with flat recoil spring. Makes life so much easier.

This new recoil spring is soooooo much better than the old kind. I had to use tool to remove the old spring off the guiding rod. With the new spring it goes on effortless.

I have not installed any parts from this parts kit in a P229 yet. How ever, I have installed them previously from other Sig parts kits that I had on hand.
