superbly compact and light 3x prism - ideal for PCC or SBR

I put prism optics on almost all my long guns/PCCs, and after trying every brand, I've found that Burris and PA compact/micro optics offer the best combination of quality glass, small size, light weight and adequate eye relief. It's common to see reviews of prism optics complaining the eye relief is inadequate. Well, what'd you expect? These are prism optics, not Scout-type glass designed to have relief of 6"+. In a good prism, expect 2-3" relief, which is what this RT-3 provides, while in the cheapie brands (e.g. starts with Mons****, and costs about $100 on Amazon) will have half that, if you're lucky. The RT-3 reticle is small and crips, which is a big improvement over Burris' AR-332 and AR-536 prisms, which have much larger reticles -- decent for close-up work, but not so great for precise shooting at distances over 100 yards. The RT-3 is super compact and light, too -- about 8 oz and 3.5" in length -- similar to PA's SLx 3X MicroPrism, which is just a bit lighter/shorter, but not significantly so. I do like the brightness control on the RT-3 over the PA -- there are push buttons for + and - on the former, while the latter makes do with a knob. If you're looking for a small and light 3x optic, the RT-3 is a solid choice. Get it on sale and you have a winner!
