Sig Sauer announced the M11-A1 in late July, 2012.
Because the M11-A1 has full length slide serrations, a non-railed frame, and P228 two piece grips, we classified it in the P228 section.
The M11-A1 has a lot of great features including:

- Short reset trigger
- 2 15rd 9mm magazines,
- MIL-STD UID label
- Nitron coated stainless steel slide
- SIGLite night sights, engraved SIG logo on the top of the slide
- Two piece P228 grips

2500 + rounds with out a single malfunction! I not a 9mm man, cut my teeth on a 1911 back win colt was the manufacturer; but so help me I love this pistol . Its accurate reliable Perfect for a double stack 9mm, last week I put two mags through it into a B27 target All 30 in the black at 100 meters! Not bad for a4" barrel ( and yes they were 7" low, aim at the head)
