I use the juliet 3 with the romeo 5 red dot. I have a astigmatism in my right eye that kind of blurs or star bursts the red dot. With the magnifier its crisp. The only compliant I have about this magnifier is it adds a significant amount of weight to your gun. 12 oz doesn't sound like a lot but yeah you can feel it. Luckily the quick release mount allows you to remove it with the push of a button.
Great choice for a pistol caliber carbine

I recently bought a 10mm PCC and needed to select a sight for it. The choice came down to a red dot or a scope. Since the gun weighs about 6 pounds unloaded I did not want to add the weight of a scope and a mount. The 10mm is capable of good mid range performance. and I wanted some magnification for longer shots. I ended up with a Sig Romeo 4DR and then added this Romeo 3 magnifier. That proved to be the perfect choice for my gun. The red dot and magnifier when needed but with the included quick release mount, the ability to remove the magnifier and lighten the gun by 12 ounces when not needed.
