The kit converts a mil-spec AR-15 / M4 lower to the MCX-SPEAR LT piston platform. The 16-inch hammer-forged 7.62x39 barrel uses a 1:9.5 twist and 5/8-24 muzzle threads with a removable 3-prong SIG suppressor QD flash hider. The gas system is a short-stroke piston with a dual-rod recoil assembly. A folding knuckle and M4 / 1913 stock adapter are included. The free-float aluminum handguard is 13.3 inches long. Published overall length of the upper is 24.75 inches. Empty weight is approximately 81.9 ounces. The bolt carrier is DLC finished. A charging handle, bolt carrier group, and heavy-weight hammer spring for mil-spec AR-15 hammers are included. AR-15 7.62x39 magazines are required. The receiver finish is black anodized.
