The kit converts a mil-spec AR-15 / M4 lower to the MCX-SPEAR LT piston platform. The 9-inch hammer-forged .300 Blackout barrel uses a 1:5 twist and 5/8-24 muzzle threads with a removable 3-prong SIG suppressor QD flash hider. The gas system is a short-stroke piston with a dual-rod recoil assembly, so a conventional buffer tube is not required. A 1913 M4 adapter is included for a folding or static stock or brace. The free-float aluminum handguard is 7.94 inches long. Published overall length of the upper is 17.5 inches. Empty weight is approximately 62.7 ounces. The bolt carrier is DLC finished. A charging handle and bolt carrier group are included.
