This Sig Sauer OEM parts kit includes all of the parts necessary to upgrade your P226, P227, or P229 pistol to a reduced trigger reset. Sig Sauer calls this the Short Reset Trigger, or SRT for short, and is found on most of the Elite pistols.

It is possible to perform this upgrade yourself. We always suggest having a skilled certified armorer install this upgrade.

I watched 3 videos on reviews and how to install srt on my p226. this is the best and easiest upgrade ever. it took about 20 minutes to get the bigger piece in place but it can be done with patience. I plan on upgrading my other sigs when they become available again. the cost including shipping was by far the cheapest I found. ordered on a Friday morning and was shipped out the same day. Factory upgrade parts for replacing standard sears & safety levers in the classic p series weapons. Installation was easy and less than 10 minutes from start to finish including function checking and live fire operation. No special tools needed to install parts and the price was the best one found while searching for the product. This is my third SRT kit which I have put in 2 P229's and my P245. The sale price was great ($29.99) and it arrived, in perfect condition within 4 days of ordering. My complaint is that Osage no longer ships via 1st class mail. The minimum shipping price for this kit (weighs maybe what 2 pieces of notebook paper weighs) was over $9.00! Prior to ordering I emailed Osage about the shipping prices, but of course I never heard back from them. I gave only 2 stars for the VALUE category due to the outrageous shipping cost. Had my P226 for a couple years before I got my P227 elite. I was impressed by the short reset trigger on that pistol. I started using my 226 in pistol league, and realized I had to change to a SRT after I had to purposefully let my trigger finger off so the gun could reset during one of the stages. This upgrade took me 15 minutes to complete, And quite possibly the best upgrade for $30 you can make. OCG had the best price on this kid that I could find. Short Reset is the way

Anyone that has a Sig Sauer P Series (220, 226, 227, 229, etc.) that does not have a factory installed short reset trigger, do yourself a favor and purchase this kit. My P227 Nitron Full Size came without it and I've been shooting it for years. Love the pistol (possible the most accurate I currently own), however, in comparison to my P229 SAS with factory SRT, the difference is night and day. There is a distinguishable amount of "slop" that is taken out of the single action take up, and the name indicates the primary reason for purchase. The reset is all of about 5mm worth of let up. Installation is very simple (YouTube is definitely your friend) and in conjunction with a 2 way adjustable trigger from either GrayGuns or Armory Craft, you will have an extremely enhanced and much more accurate shooting experience. Installed on a beat up early 90s p229 I restored. Trigger resets much quicker. Needle nose pliers and pin punch are all that is needed to install, no need to fully disassemble pistol, took about 5 minutes to install watching YouTube video. I said this is a great value because when you look at the two little pieces of metal that come in the package your first inclination might be to think this is a very pricey item. The value of what this adds to your Sig pistol far exceeds the cost of the parts. I have installed about 8 of these over the years in a variety of Sig pistols. An excellent upgrage for any Sig p2XX semi-auto

I have installed SRT kits in all my Sigs that will accommodate it, meaning the Sig p2XX series such as the 226 and 229. This creates a very consistent reset from gun to gun. With standard components, meaning the sear and related safety mechanism, the reset can be variable from gun to gun. Watch some YouTube videos on installation if you have never done this before. Installed the SRT from Osage in both my 9mm and .22lr Sig P226s along with the Grayguns flat dual-adjustable trigger. These two simple modifications made an already great handgun even better by greatly reducing the the trigger reset distance and eliminating trigger pre-travel and over-travel.
